One team between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be eliminated from the IPL 2024 on Wednesday. The two teams will compete in the Eliminator in Ahmedabad. The winner will face SunRisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 on Friday, while the loser will be out of the tournament. Rajasthan Royals have lost four games and had one game rained out, whereas RCB have won six games in a row, showing their intent in the playoffs. RR, the 2008 IPL champions, have suddenly become the underdogs, despite being favorites a few weeks ago.

When in form, Rajasthan Royals have shown they are unbeatable, but their last four games revealed weaknesses in their batting and bowling. The departure of Jos Buttler has significantly weakened their batting. Much will depend on Yashasvi Jaiswal (348 runs), captain Samson (504), and Riyan Parag (531) to stop their losing streak.

Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar said it might be a one-sided match.

"What RCB has done is incredible. Firstly, believing they can come back is something special. Their key players, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli, have been motivating the other players. Others might quickly feel, 'Oh, we've lost everything.' Both have played outstanding cricket," Sunil Gavaskar said on Star Sports.

"Rajasthan has lost four or five matches. They didn't play their last game. They are out of practice. Unless they do something special like KKR did today, despite not playing for 11 days, it could be another one-sided game tomorrow. My concern is that it will be another one-sided game tomorrow, with RCB dominating RR. I will be surprised if that doesn't happen."
