It was directed not against Ranveer Singh: Prasanth Varma, the director of Hanu-Man, clarifies his widely shared post on X
Rakshas was supposed to be Prasanth Varma and Ranveer Singh's joint project, however it fell through ostensibly due to a disagreement over artistic vision.
The director of Hanu-Man, Prasanth Varma, clarifies that his mysterious post on his X account, which stated, "One day you realise every rejection was a blessing in disguise," was "definitely not targeted at anyone," dispelling rumors that it was a subtle jab at actor Ranveer Singh. A long time ago, Varma and Singh were supposed to collaborate on the movie Rakshas; however, the project never materialized, perhaps due to a disagreement over creative vision.
To set the record straight, Prasanth Varma states, "I thought about posting it because it was a very generic feeling I had in the morning." I was considering the trip as a whole. I never would have made Hanu-Man if people hadn't rejected me throughout my early years. I was feeling thankful since Hanu-Man would not have happened if I had completed any of the movies that I had previously proposed to other performers.
The 35-year-old continues, "I don't have time to spread negativity because I have a lot going on in my life." "I aim to post things that would motivate people. That sentence is practically a quote that everyone can use as motivation. However, I believe that only 10% of people on social media were motivated, and the other 90% are only making (unfounded) connections. I hadn't posted in a long since you can't control how whatever you post—it can be perceived in a variety of ways. I often avoid posting anything because I worry that it may be misunderstood.
Giving some insight into the reasons why he and Singh could not collaborate, Varma says it was simply a creative difference. There were conflicting opinions regarding the film's production. He's an actor that I greatly admire. Furthermore, I think he appreciates my work as well. When asked if he has considered someone to play Singh's role in Rakshas, the director responds, "Not at this time. I'll need some time to come up with a different choice for that movie. I have not considered anyone. The movie has been put on hold.
When you ask him if there is animosity between them because Singh withdrew from a project that was formally launched, Varma replies that they are still in contact and get along well. We continue to communicate. Varma concludes, "It (the movie) just couldn't happen, but our relationship stayed.
