Government to expedite Chinese technicians' and others' visa applications
During a press briefing, DPIIT Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh stated that the government is considering expanding the existing structure for technician access into PLI sectors to include other non-PLI beneficiaries operating in the same important areas.
A senior government official stated on Thursday that the union government is developing a framework to handle visa applications for the entry of Chinese and other foreign technicians required in non-Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program industries to increase production.

"We believed that if one is receiving a visa clearance and a subsidy, the other is not... He ought to have a simplified procedure, at the very least. Although a final decision has not been made, we are hopeful that we are headed in that direction.
