BJP to organize statewide protest calling for resignation of Karnataka Chief Minister over Valmiki Corporation scam
On June 28, the BJP in Karnataka intends to stage statewide demonstrations in which they would seek the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah due to financial irregularities in the KMVSTDC. Protests will take place in all districts and significant villages till the chief minister resigns, according to BJP ST Morcha State President Hanumanthu. The purported Rs 187 crore scandal concerns the misappropriation of money moved to more than 700 bank accounts. There have been calls for a mass resignation since Nagendra's resignation is deemed insufficient.
On June 28, the Karnataka branch of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that it will hold nationwide demonstrations, calling for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to step down over the purported financial irregularities at the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation Limited (KMVSTDC).
BJP ST Morcha State President Bangaru Hanumanthu told reporters that there will be protests in every district, Taluk headquarters, and significant village.
"Until the Chief Minister steps down from his position, we will not end our protests. We are going to have a fierce demonstration tomorrow, June 28, throughout the state, and we're going to lay siege to the deputy commissioners' offices in every district," Hanumanthu declared.
In order to alert every family in the state about the scam, he announced that ten lakh handbills would be disseminated throughout all of the districts, Taluks, and villages. According to the BJP leader, the scandal is far larger than what has surfaced thus far.

The BJP representative enquired as to why the opening of new bank accounts and the movement of funds were not reported to the Finance department.
"Resigning as Minister B Nagendra is not a solution. How are we going to handle his resignation? Many others, including CM Siddaramaiah, Basawaraj Daddal, and Sharanaprakash Patil, are also participating in it. They must all step down at once. It won't mean anything until then, Hanumanthu continued.
