Elon Musk denies giving Donald Trump $45 million monthly.
The CEO of Tesla claims, "I did create a PAC that is focused on supporting candidates who favor a meritocracy and personal freedom."
San Francisco: Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, refuted once more on Friday that he had given former US President Donald Trump a monthly donation of $45 million.
In response to a widely circulated memo purporting that Musk has promised to provide $45 million a month to Trump and has joined Team MAGA (Make America Great Again), a catchphrase Trump has popularized during his presidential campaign, Musk declared, "This note is false." "I haven't given anyone any promises. The software mogul wrote on the social media platform X, "I did create a PAC that is focused on supporting candidates who favor a meritocracy and personal freedom, but funding to date has been far below that level."
After the failed attempt on Trump's life the previous weekend, Musk has "fully" endorsed him for president. "Musk already ruined Twitter by allowing hate speech and disinformation to flood the platform," the widely shared note further said. Musk is currently attempting to influence our democracy with his enormous wealth.
In addition, US President Joe Biden, who tested positive for COVID-19, poked fun at Trump and Musk on Thursday, declaring, "I'm sick" of Elon Musk and his wealthy friends attempting to rig this election. Musk has frequently criticized Biden for his age and immigration policy.
