The company is also ensuring affected individuals have access to resources to safeguard their information.

In a separate announcement, Cencora's unit AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group (ABSG) stated that the stolen information was related to a prescription supply program offered by its now-closed subsidiary, Medical Initiatives Inc.
According to ABSG's investigation, the affected protected health information included first names, last names, and prescriptions. This was revealed late on Friday.
