Telangana: Good news for the youth. Revanth Government's key decision
The Telangana government has taken a major decision aimed at providing employment and employment opportunities to the youth. It has been decided to convert 65 ITIs in the state into advanced training centres. For this, it has entered into an agreement with Tata Technologies Limited.
The Telangana government has decided to convert industrial training institutes into modern technology centres to cater to the needs of modern industries. As part of this, 65 ITIs in the state have been upgraded to advanced training centres. It has entered into an agreement with Tata Technologies Limited. Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for ATCs at Mallepalli ITI in Hyderabad.
The ATCs will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. TTL will hire 130 professionals to impart training. At ATCs, 15,860 students will be trained annually in six types of long-term courses, while 31,200 will be trained in 23 types of short-term courses. In the last 10 years, only one and a half lakh people have been trained in ITIs in the state. With these ATCs, 4 lakh people will be trained in the next 10 years. The total cost of the project to convert ITIs into ATCs is Rs 2,324.21 crore. The ATCs will not be limited to training in different courses, but will function as skill development centres.
The ATCs will serve as a technology hub for entrepreneurs as well as small, micro and medium enterprises and heavy industries. TTL will provide job opportunities to those who have been trained in different courses in ATCs. Also, ATCs will provide their services to polytechnic and engineering students in future.
