India overcame Australia by 24 runs on Monday, securing their semifinal berth and forcing them to the verge of elimination. In the hopes that the Bangla Tigers would triumph, the 2021 winners will now need to closely monitor Tuesday morning's encounter between Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
India's defense of 205 got off to a perfect start as David Warner was dismissed by Arshdeep Singh in the opening over. However, Travis Head, the Men in Blue's serial harasser, formed a strong alliance with Glenn Maxwell and captain Mitchell Marsh to steady the Australians.
