According to an investigation, a woman in Panipat, Haryana, had plotted to kill her husband in 2021 with her lover. They were both taken into custody by the authorities three years later.

A woman and her lover were taken into custody by the police for plotting to assassinate her husband in Panipat, Haryana, back in 2021.
On October 5, 2021, a car with a Punjabi registration struck the victim, Vinod Barada. His legs were broken, but he lived through the accident. On December 15, 2021, two months later, Vinod Barada was shot and killed at his Panipat home.
According to the probe, Nidhi, Vinod's wife, plotted to kill her husband with the help of her lover, Sumit. Vinod survived the first accident they staged. They later fatally shot him.
The issue was brought to light when Vinod's uncle Virendra filed a complaint in December 2021. He told police that after Vinod's accident, a case was registered against the driver, Dev Sunar, and he was arrested.
A Bathinda resident named Dev Sunar sought Vinod for a settlement fifteen days later; he declined. Then, Dev Sunar intimidated him.
Carrying a pistol, Dev Sunar broke into Vinod's home on December 15, 2021, shut the door from the inside, and then shot Vinod in the head and waist. After being brought to the hospital, Vinod was pronounced dead.
Dev Sunar was detained in Panipat jail, according to a police official, and the case was being tried in court. Vinod Barada's Australian-born brother recently sent a message via WhatsApp raising doubts about potential accomplices. The official assigned a team to reinvestigate after taking the situation seriously. The team went through the case file again and got the go-ahead from the court to resume the inquiry.
